About Our Mealworm Suet Blocks
Our mealworm suet blocks are packed full of nutritious suet, making them the perfect energy boost for your birds year-round.
Is there a smaller size?
We don't currently offer a smaller size with us being focused on bargain prices. This allows us to provide you with excellent value for money. If the box is a little too heavy, we recommend opening it up at the door when it arrives and taking some out rather than attempting to carry it.
When to feed
Our Suet Blocks are suitable for feeding throughout the different seasons. However, they are a great feed during the colder months due to the high fat content. The fat provides an additional boost of energy needed to help the birds survive the frosty nights.
How to feed
Our suet blocks should be fed from a suet block feeder for the best results. You could also feed them from a bird table or in a dish, but we do recommend feeding them from a feeder.
How to store
All of our bird foods should be stored in an airtight container to preserve them for as long as possible. If you do not have an airtight container, a cool dry place will suffice, but we do recommend a container to help keep them in their best quality for as long as possible. We also recommend storing suet blocks indoors during the Winter period to prevent them from hardening too much. Similarly, they should be kept indoors and out of sunlight during warmer months to prevent them melting.
Birds you might attract to your garden
Suet is a very popular feed among many birds due to the high fat content. Keep an eye out for the following species when offering these fat balls in your garden: Blackbirds, Blue Tits, Chaffinches, Coal Tits, Collared Doves, Dunnocks, Great Spotted Woodpeckers, Great Tits, Greenfinches, House Sparrows, Nuthatches, Robins, Starlings, Thrushes, Wood Pigeons, Wrens
