About Our 25kg Layers Pellets

Our Layers Pellets are a high quality chicken feed to keep your free range hens happy and healthy whilst providing them with a balanced diet. They contain optimum levels of calcium, phosphorus and Vitamin D3 to promote bone strength, good shell quality, rich yellow yolk colour, higher egg numbers and excellent egg size.

These layers pellets should only start being fed to pullet from 16/17 weeks of age.

Wheat, Calcium Carbonate, Maize*, Sunflower Seed Meal (dehulled), Wheat Feed, Maize Germ*, Confectionery Products, Hi-Pro Soya Bean Meal (dehulled), Wheat Distillers Dried Grains, Salt. *from GM Sources.

Analytical Constituents - Crude Protein 16%, Crude Ash 13.9%, Lysine 0.7%, Calcium 4.3%, Crude Fats 4.2%, Phosphorus 0.45%, Methionine Equivalent 0.36%, Crude Fibre 4.7%, Sodium 0.17%, Methionine 0.26%.

When to feed

Our chicken feeds are suitable for feeding all year round.

Layers Pellets Feeding Advice

• Always ensure a clean supply of drinking water.
• Feeders should always be kept clean and filled with fresh feed.
• Provide a source of appropriate poultry grit which aids in the digestion of feed.
• Oyster Shell grit is a valuable source of slow release Calcium which is important for shell formation in laying birds.
• Whole grain feeds can be fed either with an appropriate feeder or used as a scratch feed by scattering in the feeding area.

How to store

All of our foods should be stored in an airtight container to preserve them for as long as possible. If you do not have an airtight container, a cool dry place will suffice, but we do recommend a container to help keep them fresh for as long as possible.
