Read moreAbout Our 12.55kg Jumbo Sunflower Hearts
High in energy and larger in size, our jumbo sunflower hearts are a premium and nutritious seed to have in any garden. Their larger kernel size makes them particularly attractive to a wide variety of wild birds, offering a high-impact, low-waste feeding solution. As the husks have already been removed, birds can consume the entire seed, leaving little to no mess around your feeding station.
When to feed
Our jumbo sunflower hearts are suitable for feeding all year round. During the spring months, you may wish to switch to sunflower chips (or supplement with chips), as their smaller size can be easier for fledglings to eat compared to larger seeds.
How to feed
Our Jumbo Sunflower Hearts are ideal for year-round feeding and can be offered in seed feeders and sunflower feeders with large ports or mesh Peanut Feeders, ground feeder, or simply placed on a bird table.
How to store
All of our bird foods should be stored in an airtight container to preserve freshness for as long as possible. If an airtight container is not available, a cool, dry place will suffice, although we strongly recommend a container to maintain optimum quality.
Birds you might attract to your garden
Most garden birds will readily enjoy our jumbo sunflower hearts, with some of the most common species including:
Blackbird, Blue Tit, Chaffinch, Coal Tit, Collared Dove, Dunnock, Goldfinch, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Great Tit, Greenfinch, House Sparrow, Long-Tailed Tit, Nuthatch, Robin, Starling, Wood Pigeon.
Sunflower hearts are not fit for human consumption.
