300 Essential Fat BallsAbout Our 150 Essential Fat Balls
Fat is known to attract a wide variety of garden birds as it is a favourite of theirs, and our 150 Essential Fat Balls are no exception! These delicious and nutritious fat balls also contain cereals and grains, making them an exceptionally popular treat among your local bird population.
When to feed
Our suet fat balls are suitable for feeding throughout the different seasons. However, they are particularly ideal during the colder months due to the high fat content. The fat provides additional boosts of energy to help the birds survive the frosty nights.
How to feed
Our 150 Essential Fat Balls can be fed to the wild birds from a range of feeding options; these include: a fat ball feeder, a ground feeder or from a bird table. We recommend feeding the fat balls from a feeder with a protective lid as the high fat content will cause balls to crumble in the rain.
How to store
All of our bird foods should be stored in an airtight container to preserve them for as long as possible. If you do not have an airtight container, a cool dry place will suffice, but we do recommend a container to help keep them in their best quality for as long as possible. We also recommend storing Fat Balls indoors during the Winter period to prevent them from hardening too much.
Birds you might attract to your garden
Suet is a very popular feed among many birds due to the high fat content. Keep an eye out for the following species when providing fat balls in your garden:
Blackbirds, Blue Tits, Chaffinches, Coal Tits, Collared Doves, Dunnocks, Great Spotted Woodpeckers, Great Tits, Greenfinches, House Sparrows, Nuthatches, Robins, Starlings, Thrushes, Wood Pigeons, Wrens
What are the ingredients?
Cereals and seeds, flour, fats and minerals.
Important Information
Our fat balls leave the warehouse in perfect condition. However due to being bumped about as they travel to you in the back of a van, up to 10% may be broken up in the box on arrival. These broken balls will still attract birds and can be fed from most fat ball feeders or mixed in with a seed mix.
Our Suet Fat Balls are for beaks only, not suitable for human consumption.
Our delivery couldn't be simpler. We offer free delivery over £50 - that's it!
